In its beginning and its development in the Horasan culture, medicine had its basis in the idea that health is only possible with the unity and balance of spirit and body. In time, medicine changed into a research and application field which is only interested in the body. Although psychology, psychiatry and pedagogy have developed, in a wider perspective, the spiritual possibilities of the human being, which in fact is capable of acquiring and perceiving eternal kowledge have been desregarded.

Especially in the 20th century, the medicine has headed towards completing those missing components. “From Heart to Medicine, From Medicine to Heart 9 – Preparation for the future seminar” is organized to attain a summary of those endeavors and their historical backgrounds, and to evaluate them in today´s circumstances.

Baksi Dance: A demonstration of the oldest Turksih music and movement therapy tradition alive, having a 14.000 years of history that is documented by the petroglyphs in Gobustan Rocks.

Makam music therapy: Was first used around 1000 years ago in Horasan and then was applied in Nureddin Hospital (Damascus), then in the hospitals of the Seljuk and Ottomans, even to cure leprosy

• The first day we will go to the reed bed to visit the reeds in their growing place.
• First with the ordinary reeds(which are not suitable to open as a ney) will be opened as trial neys.
• After coming through the first inexperience times by doing the trial openings, the real ney opening work will start with the good quality reeds.
• There will also be ney blowing education with the neys that will be opened.
• The evening and the night will continue with sohbet and sema.
• This education is open for the participants from all the levels.
